Making the decision to come to therapy is a big step. I offer a free initial phone consultation to see if we might be a good fit. During this conversation we will discuss what is bringing you to therapy at this time as well as logistics about scheduling, fees, etc. You may also ask me questions about my experience and my work. If it feels right for you, we will schedule an initial session.
The first session is a time where we will get a sense of whether we are a good fit. It is extremely important for you to find someone that you feel safe and comfortable with. If, for any reason, you feel I am not the right therapist for you, I am happy to offer you referrals and assist you in finding the person who is. During this time we will discuss more in-depth why you are seeking therapy. I will ask you questions about you and your history in an attempt to get a clearer sense of the whole picture that is you. We will work together to come up with goals for treatment.
